an attitude of gratitude

So I am literally trapped atop Queen Anne Hill. It is a snow day for most in sunny snowy Seattle and many other parts of Washington. I have seen two Audis slide back down the hill after almost making it to the top...it was not pretty. I've also seen many others outside with skis, sleds and snowboards. I leave tomorrow for Louisiana and I'm worried about some stuff. But, in an effort to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, I will not let a few things get me down.

For example...

I can't get to the post office. I haven't been able to get down there for two days and I've got packages to send to patient customers.

I don't know how I'm going to get to the airport tomorrow to catch an 8am flight.

Ok now for the attitude adjustment.

I couldn't get to the post office, but I did make it to Trader Joe's and it was absolutely sparkly outside.

I am so thankful for all the people that purchased items from my shop. SUPER thankful. To one of my most distant customers, Ekaterina in Russia, I hope your goodies make it in time for you to begin your holiday projects.

I can't wait to see my family. One way or the other I'm going to make it there, I won't worry about the how.

I hope everyone has an incredibly happy and safe holiday...and for those of my friends abroad who don't celebrate this holiday...I hope you enjoy a happy end to this lovely month.
