just can't get enough

At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to gather my wits and make a few stamps. No, I did not spend hours carving rubber, but I did spend a bit of time with *Mona, my trusty Macbook and churned out several designs.

Now it's one thing to look at a flat graphic and say to yourself..."self, that looks just right".

It is entirely something else to see your image professionally etched in rubber...especially if you are the sort that has never seen anything of yours etched in anything that exists...save for an address stamp. So...I sent my little designs off to get made. I opted to just get flat rubber since it was cheaper and then purchase some of this to mount them. This is what I got back in about a week's time:

And I added a few to a mini I'm working on. To say that this is the beginning of my stamp design career would be only a very slight exaggeration. I LOVE the results. I love them so much I find myself just looking at them in the little bowl I have on my desk. I ordered a lot...maybe 20 or so...a lot of them words that I often use in my favorite font.

Rubberstamp making is the new crocheting...at least in my house.

Stamps made exceptionally well and delivered incredibly quick by:  rubberstamps.net

*I have never, prior to this post, referred to my computer as Mona...I'm just trying out potential puppy names for the puppy I don't have but really want.

I've spent forever looking for instructions on how people were getting custom unmounted stamps - found you through pinterest & I'm so happy I did! Thanks for the links & explanation. Can't wait to check those companies out & hopefully order my own designs :)
