the update of updates...

man oh man, if anyone is still reading this you deserve a medal. I've been uncommonly scarce lately...I know, I know....i have been MIA in the past, but this was just plain unacceptable. What business does one have with a blog when one fails to update regularly. Okay. Enough berating of myself. I have been a busy busy girl. Part work but mostly play.

One reason I haven't been blogging much is because I haven't really had much to share with the universe and what I have had to share wasn't appropriately captured in a photo and I prefer commentary with an accompanying visual. Anyway...how 'bout an update in my typical staccato style.

met a very fabulous photographer thanks to my husband and his profession

made embellishments for the SC swap

found the chair i want for my reading room but feel strange buying furniture from UO

still haven't found the perfect dining table

made a surprise jaunt to AZ and boy was it fun

celebrated my niece's 13th birthday with Japanese food and more Saki bombs then I think my sister can remember

got a pedicure with my dad and sis

waxed philosophic with my brilliant nephew

talked some smack family style

tried to soak in as much mommy and me time as humanly possible

came home to work and thunderstorms

trying to get my crafty back

need to go and get a new treadmill

riveting huh?

the image above has nothing to do with this post but I absolutely adore this foundry and that nativity set.

It's your blog and you can update it whenever you want to. No need to apologize or let it stress you. It IS nice to know you're still alive though.
Here's hoping you get your crafty back!

that's just what I needed to hear:) thanks. did you participate in any of the NSD challenges over at SC? Since I was out of town I didn't get the chance.

No, I didn't do anything special for NSD except upload some pages about scrapbooking to my 2Peas gallery (my goal is to put all my layouts up there eventually. I do about one a day. Saturday I uploaded two.)
I'm not sure I'm ready for challenges yet. I still think of msyelf as a beginner. I need to get caught up first. And I don't mean on the last ten years of photos, just on a couple of pages left for my and the little one's 2008 albums, and a couple of 2009 pages that are waiting to be done.
I'm loving SC and trying to use up the kits as much as possible so I don't need more than my one plastic crate to store the kits! I've promised myself that if my kits can't fit in the crate I'll put a pause on my subscription... .
Oh, and thanks for your comments on my two layouts! I really appreciate it!

so cool about the photography class. I would love to take one that was all about using your point and shoot since my cameras aren't very sophisticated. I totally think you've moved beyond the novice phase. I actually feel so out of practice. I need to just get my groove back.

Now I feel like I've really messed things up!
I went and deleted all my extraneous comments before I saw you had replied!
Sorry...

no worries. That has happened to me before too:)
