in transition

You know it's pretty bad when your last post reads "hello spring." Especially since it happens to be the first day of summer. Eek!

Not good.

Everyday I visit a handful of blogs and wonder how they manage to post so consistently. I realize that many of those folks commit to their blogs as a job and that's their impetus to keep it going. I wonder how different my own blog would be if I did the same. I always pictured this small piece of the web as my spot to just do what I wish...but I feel a transition coming on. I'm not seeking to make this a moneymaker or anything like that, but I do want to make it more like a place I would visit everyday rather than one I would delete from my Reader...ooohhh, that was mean. Mean, but true...scant posting often results in a delete.

I don't think I would follow myself.

If you've stuck it out this far, perhaps you'd be willing to stick it out a bit farther and tell me what you'd like to see more of here. Whether it's personal or about the shop, it doesn't matter. I think it's time I start taking YOU into consideration. Leave a comment letting me know and I will give something away...something really good. Hint: I don't always use all of my Studio Calico kits and I have a lot of brand spanking new goodies that could use a home. Multiple comments count as multiple entries...don't worry if someone has already stated it. I will close the comments on Monday the 25th at midnight PST and choose a winner Tuesday morning.

Changing the subject ever so slightly...

The shop restock has been slightly delayed due to that adorable fellow up above. We added him to our family at the end of May. It has been almost 30 years since I last had a puppy and OH MY.

OH MY...it is tough. No sleep, constant up and down, constant watching...did I mention no sleep?
Having a puppy is delightful in retrospect. Having a puppy at this very moment is exhausting. I thought I could do it all and as it turns out, I was wrong. I've decided to restock the shop mid-July.
Later than I expected...but right smack in the middle of summertime. If you've been waiting for stamps, they will all be available. If I get it together sooner, I'll let you know.

till then...wish me luck on my foray into puppy-dom.

I love your designs & am always excited to see new things in your shop (especially digital)...so what I'd like to see more of on your blog would be sneak peeks of new stuff that's coming and I'd love to see your crafts, layouts, etc.

First one never wins, but I'll go anyway ;D

I TOTALLY know what you mean about feeling like your blog is blah--not YOUR blog, but that's how I feel about mine! I need and want to be a more consistent blogger and couldn't figure out what was the deal. Of course the time factor, but really..why is it? I have come to the conclusion it's because my blog design, or lack thereof, doesn't reflect me. yay for the epiphany, but I know nothing about blog design so it looks like it will be boring for awhile longer :/
My fav things to read on others blog are about design, the prices, cart spaces and just real life stuff---all things i need to be better about myself!

oh my goodness ronin is a handsome fellow...is he a blue heeler or maybe an australian shepherd? we are contemplating a puppy (or, perhaps i should say, i am contemplating a puppy while my husband somewhat tolerantly listens to my rants) but i know what you mean about the work involved.
as for your blog...i am still here! so, you have at least one dedicated reader. evidently, you have even more as i am not the first to comment! yay, you! i would love to see what you do with some of the wonderful bits and pieces you provide in your shop. and ramblings and rants are always welcome as well. i am sure whatever you decide will be top notch! i need to work on my blog too because i have often thought i would delete as well...

Good luck with your new puppy! He's so cute, and I love the name Ronin!

I started following your blog because I loved your shop products, so sneak peeks and product photos are always good. Maybe you could recruit some customers to share projects they've created with your products.

Always fun to see little snippets of people's lives and homes, too. Whatever works! Don't do it unless you enjoy it!

I would love to see lots more product use/sneaks. And just some more of your voice; your personality shines through wonderfully!

I always love anything regarding your shop items. I would love to see some of your creations! You're super talented!

I love your blog as it is. I like the real voice you use. I have loved the video tutorials you have with using your digital designs. I can understand those take time, which is something we all lack. But just wanted to thank you for doing that. Something I have thought as I spent over two hours on a post, was "why am I doing this?" For me, I have no shop, no designs. I work full time and then some, so this is truly just a hobby for me, and although it is fun to share, it takes time. I guess I would say remember your purpose, your vision of what you want it to be. Even if it is a here and there blog, I still like it.

Such a cute puppy! I have two cuties of my own and they are a lot of work but so worth it! Love your blog posts and would love to hear hints about upcoming products in your store!

Know what I love reading on blogs? Your everyday you! I just love hearing about what people do for fun, craft for themselves, the things they do with their family. It endears me to the blogger when I feel like I know more about them.

Oh I'd love to hear about product ideas and what's coming soon too. I just love your products.

Love your blog and I love your products, so I don't mind the lapses between posts. The puppy is adorable. I have a blue heeler and grew up with them. They certainly have plenty of personality to go around. Enjoy your furball!!

I was so excited when I saw an update!! I actually squealed. Lol. I think what I'm learning on my blog is to just share anything and people love that. I always thought it had to be something fantastic to post it but wonderful people have taught me just share my life. I know I love to read about their everyday life. So don't sweat it. When you feel like it, just share your day or heart. We know you're busy with your store and I love your products but we love just you too. Congrats on the new family member. Hugs!!

Your puppy is super cute! The work is worth it though. I really like all your products and am excited for your restock of the shop!

Yay! Shop restock soon! Your puppy is adorable! I would love to see more product sneak peeks, snaps of your workspace, and home life. The majority of the blogs I follow just post normal everyday things and that is more than enough to keep my attention!

What a cute little guy he is! We just got a puppy memorial day weekend so I know what you mean. He could potty outside so you think things are safe once back inside, but the minute you turn your back...LOL!

I love to read blogs that tell a little about your everyday happenings. But I also love creative inspiration. Maybe you could get guests to post projects/ layouts on the blog to keep your work posting things down as well as add different angle on using your products (which I love BTW)

I love your designs! I use them for PL and regular scrapbook pages. I'd be interested to see ideas that you and your readers do with your products + all those other lovely products we all adore. Everyday life and inspiration that keeps you going as a small business or just a crafter for yourself works too!!
